Check the product condition before buying

Review the listing, part number, condition, photographs and any written coverage supplied with your item. Brand new, refurbished, surplus and as-is products are different offers. Ask us to clarify coverage or fitment before paying if the listing does not answer your question.

Brand-new parts

Manufacturer warranty applies where provided, according to its written coverage and claim requirements. The product documents or order-specific written warranty identify the coverage and warrantor. We do not promise the same manufacturer warranty period for every part. Contact customer care for help with a product that may be defective or misdescribed, including any applicable statutory rights.

Refurbished parts

The store's standard express cover for refurbished parts is three months from the date of sale against the refurbishment work carried out by us. This covers the work described for that item; it is not a statement that every component has been replaced or that normal wear is covered. Keep your proof of purchase and any written item-specific warranty details.

Surplus and disclosed as-is items

Surplus parts are used parts inspected and sold in their disclosed condition. They do not carry the store's refurbished-work warranty unless written cover is expressly provided. Specifically disclosed as-is or where-is items must be assessed against the description, inspection and written sale terms. Those labels do not replace an honest description of the item or any rights that remain applicable to the sale.

Installation, use and exclusions

Use the correct part for the vehicle and follow the applicable installation and operating instructions. Tell us about modifications, incorrect installation, overheating, misuse, impact damage or repairs made after purchase. Such factors may affect a claim if they caused the fault. A fitted electrical part is assessed on the facts; fitting it alone is not a reason to refuse every legitimate defect enquiry.

Requesting a warranty assessment

  • Contact customer care with your order number or proof of purchase, product and part number, purchase date and a description of the problem.
  • Explain when the issue appeared, how the item was used and who installed it. Provide helpful photos if available.
  • Keep the item available for inspection. Confirm transport and inspection arrangements with us before returning it or authorising further repair.
  • We will explain the assessment outcome and the remedy available under the written cover and applicable law. A claim submission does not automatically confirm approval.

Costs and outcomes

We confirm any inspection, transport or other proposed charge before asking you to authorise it, subject to any remedy that must be provided without charge under applicable law. Repair, replacement or refund depends on the assessment, the applicable warranty and your legal rights. Your statutory rights are not limited to the express warranty period.
